Booth & Associates can engage in hands-on operational assignments with small- to mid-sized firms and non-profits, where there may be little
or no human resources support.

For such organizations, normally each engagement begins with an audit of client needs. Items examined include the hiring process, the termination process, immigration issues, workers’ compensation, and other key human resources issues. All of the information for compliance is investigated: personnel files, independent contractor status, employee exempt/non-exempt status and more.

The Booth & Associates process is thorough. Depending on the client and the state of its information, the process can move quickly or take some time.

In some cases, Booth will act as head of human resources, actually going into the office periodically and handling human resources-related paperwork, as well as conducting training and counseling with employees and employee relations.

In other cases, Booth will train members of a firm’s staff to properly handle human resources issues and operations.

Once complete, Booth either steps back from the assignment or continues to work with the company on retainer.
